49ers Vs Vikings NFL Football August 25, 2013 Sunday Night - San Francisco Home Team

The San Francisco 49ers home game tomorrow night against Minnesota is shaping up as another wringing of the hands over who to keep.  Protecting players is a good idea however players need also to play well and often to if they are to improve. This preseason has been used to evaluate talent by the 49ers which is a good thing yet some of the competition has used preseason to perfect their play. The 49ers must consider ways to improve the O game during regular season play now, hoping their defense can keep them in early games when the O must grow some legs. Catching up to teams who used preseason more to improve O than to evaluate talent is the next task for the 49ers. Eagle Duck O attack is growing wings from tireless efforts and they will hit the regular season in full stride. Seahawks, Lions, and Eagles, are each improving O during pre-season as a focus. The 49ers protected health and evaluated talent as their preseason focus. Perfect or evaluate, the balance is a concern for all teams.

New 49ers Blog Spot News - Pistol Read Option Secrets - Lockette Out - Tolzien and McCoy Next?

The 49ers plan is to set a new NFL scoring record with young, healthy, skilled players who now have the ability to set the record this year. Is this a secret? The 49ers can unleash now their new, fast and furious attack - 75% of these plays come from the 49ers pistol, read option playbook. This attack has few or no huddles and increases their average scoring to 40 points per game. The 2013 Kaepernick Pistol San Francisco O can win an NFL record for scoring, 640 points this season. The current record set in 2007 and is held by the Patriots who scored 589 points. Those Patriots went undefeated in 2007, won two playoff games, and then they lost the Superbowl to the Giants.

Some people think the Seahawks or Redskins can brake the scoring record before the 49ers because San Francisco invests too much time in the old West Coast playbook. I think maybe the Eagles with Mike Vick and coach Chip Kelly are the real other threat to break this record, as every day all day long... even now they are developing the new Eagle Duck attack...  they plan to break the record first by running more plays per game, better and faster than anyone else.

a new 49er arrived this week as another left. Lockette was cut yesterday. I thought McCoy and Tolzien were getting the axe.  Coach fooled me, maybe he knows something I do not... ya-think?  BJ Daniels is the only backup QB on the team good enough to be a 49er, he is the Kaepernick backup. The other 3 QB backup circus of mediocrity is either a diversion or mistake. B.J. Daniels already has good skill, talent, and attitude, with proven abilities to run, pass and score at will using read option plays. Daniels needs more playing time, a good reason to dump the other 3 guys who can't win by their experience as many games as Daniels can win with his talent, skill, and athletic ability.

San Francisco 49ers Football - 2013 Preseason - Minnesota @ San Francisco - Season and Game Forecasting -

Forecast - The 49ers defense will be in the NFL top 3 statistically for lowest points allowed 2013/2014. This defense is looking very good in practice and preseason, really shutting down both running and passing with a good pass rush and tight coverage on the receivers. The performance and attitude of these defensive football athletes are on track for greatness.  Making the cut on this team is a real chore for players in 2013. Only a great athlete improving consistently can make this roster. Coaches are giving the players opportunities to perform and these players are responding well.

Offense - A guarded look at the 49ers offence in the first two preseason games has not revealed much other than which players are not good enough to make this team. Perhaps preseason week 3 or 4 will show if the offence is ready to begin the regular season schedule. Coaching is too conservative on offense, using too often old well known west coast plays. Perfecting potential in these good athletes requires evolving the pistol formation with the read offense. Offense advantages in the pistol include vision and execution for a QB, running backs benefit from timing and attack angles, and receivers gain a step on line backers and safeties. These advantages are real. The quarterback never turns back to the the line of scrimmage and he is closer than a wildcat or shotgun formation. Quick openers hit fast and defense has little time to read which QB option is occurring. The 49ers can average 40 points per game this year just by perfecting the read option pistol as their primary weapon. Using the pistol only as a change up offense, results in poor TD numbers - this is what cost the 49ers their Superbowl last year. They relapsed and called timing passes to the end zone which have lower success rates compared to many pistol, read option, red zone plays.

Minnesota at San Francisco - My preseason game three Forecast - The home crowd will enjoy seeing their players anchor slots on the roster. - Halftime SF 21 Minnesota 0 - Final 49ers 34 Vikings 14.

August 20, 2013 - My forecast for 2013/14 regular season. If the 49ers turn their offence loose in a fast pace, read option, pistol offense, with Kaepernick backed up by Daniels, the 49ers will shred the NFL scoring record and they will win the Superbowl.  If old offensive play calling persists, these coaches will keep their talent from reaching full potential and the year will be another bite ur nails season with many close games, very similar to last season.
